Ah, the Color of Friendship

First and foremost... Happy summer to me! Jealous? I bet.

Do you love fashion jewelry? I love fashion jewelry. So much that I bought myself some lovely friendship bracelets. Nothing makes me happier than seeing hardware mixed together with some pretty colors. Damn, I am so on trend, people.

First up: the neutrals
Both from Macy's

Second: the brights
Both from JC Penney

All of these lovelies added together cost me under $35. Are there bells ringing in your head? DEAL DEAL DEAL.
Now head on over to your local Macy's and JC Penney because I'm sure there will be a plethora of bracelets just like these to buy your pretty little self.

College Life & Mini Haul

My outfits lately have consisted of an oversized tshirt, jeans or sweatpants, and uggs. Blasphemy! I know. That's why I've been saving you all from viewing the horribleness that I've succumbed to, but here I am (I really felt the need to update you all).

I'm happy to be back to the daily grind of actually doing something productive. I'll let the whole homework thing slide for now, but I thoroughly enjoy going to class, going to lunch, heading back to class, and seeing all my friends. Being back at school is just freaking amazing. I absolutely love college life.

I've been wearing these way too much. Barefoot is certainly not an option in dorms.

I've been drinking this too much. So necessary.

I've been loathing this too much. Every single day has been a trudge through the snow.

And now for the haul - I've finally spent the majority of my Sephora gift card that I received for Christmas (thanks, cousin)!

Inside the bag: Sephora mini eye shadow palette

Benefit Boiing concealer... LOVE. Covers everything.

Sephora brand nail polishes in Myrtille, Yellow Umbrella, and Vintage sweater. It was difficult to get the actual color shown the correct way, but I tried my best.

Other purchases:
Epielle Cucumber face wipes... The best ones I've come across by far. They don't leave your face sticky which is something I seriously hate right before going to bed. Um, hello, I'm trying to clean my face, not make it worse!

From Bath and Body Works: Clean Cotton anti-bacterial hand gel for my dorm room, because everything here is icky. And Aromatherapy stress relieving shower gel. It smells so good! I love using this when I shower before bed because it makes me calm and happy.

Giftgirls and Sherry Lou!

I am always, always willing to support anything made by my fellow, lovely bloggers! You all are so creative and fantastic, it blows my mind. If only I had half the talent!

First up on the brag list is Giftgirls! I found her store through her blog - it's quite the lovely little online store that sells rings, necklaces, bracelets, and hair accessories. They've got everything from cute vintage-styled jewelry to pretty bobby pins with flowers and such. If you haven't checked out their online store, you must right now! Go go go!

I saw that they made scrabble rings and knew immediately that I had to get one that was my initial! So I did. It came in the mail in the cutest little packaging - a little blue box (Tiffany's, anyone? so cute!) and a bow.

And now on to the next purchase - Sherry Lou! Their clothing is created by the two girls, Jennifer and Sherry, two sisters from San Diego,CA. They have absolutely wonderful one-of-a-kind lace tops, over-sized tunic sweaters, and more. Again, I found their hand-made creations through the girls' lovely blog, Jennifer and Sherry. And did I mention how sweet they are?! Check out both their blog and their Ebay store!

I bought their vintage-styled lace top, and I absolutely adore it! From the cute little buttons on the sleeves to the length of the top, it is seriously freaking fabulous. By the way, pay no mind to my knobby knees! I couldn't be bothered to put any tights on.

Escapism

For many people, shopping is a form of therapy. It's definitely my preferred method of clearing my head, and though it's not always cheap, I end up not only finding some amazing pieces but it gives me time to think. I decided this morning that I was in definite need of clarity, so I left my house, looted up on coffee and a bagel from Dunkin Donuts, and headed to -- where else -- the mall.

First stop: Forever21

I got this less for the bunnies and more in hopes of my daddy maybe being able to replace it with something better.

Black earrings because I would like to start wearing more dangly earrings rather than just studs.

Dusty Blue nail polish

Neon yellow nail polish... I don't really mind if it comes out completely horrible because it only cost me $2.50

I really needed just a plain, black belt, so I'm happy to have found this one.

Charcoal colored leggings with an barely noticeable acid-like wash. They are so cozy that I put them on as soon as I got home.

Charcoal crew-neck sweatshirt shirt.

Knit tunic in heather gray, a bit oversized for max comfort.

Open cardigan in an orchid taupe color.

And now on to H&M

Woven brown leather and gold bracelet

Thin, brown leather belt (also needed!)

Faded black belt

Cream colored knit cardigan

$144 well spent, apologies all around, and two coffees later, I'm feeling much better about today.

Order Up: Forever21

My Forever21 purchase finally arrived! Of course, it was when I was at work, but luckily my brother was home to sign the package and take it in for me! Yay!

First purse:
I la-la-la-LOVE this purse! It's petite and small, yet still big enough to fit my wallet, phone, chapstick, and other necessary items. It's casual with a bit of flair and I absolutely love it!

Second purse:
hand-to-bag ratio
It's a lot bigger than I first expected. I imagined (and wish) it would be about half the size, but I guess I can make do. It's also a little flimsy, I thought it'd be more structured, though I do love the softness of the fabric!

Third and final purse:
This first picture makes the bag look very flat, for it is right now because it was flattened in the mail. In the next couple of pictures I stuffed it with two of my sweatshirts so it looks full and definitely a lot better!
I really like that this bag is a bit more structured than other bags I own. I adore the quilted fabric and the chain. I do wish the handles were a bit longer but I still like it. I think it will be great for a casual kind of day and is the perfect size for everything that I need!
