Get Crazy, Get Wild, Let's Party, Get Loud!

Hello, my darlings! Hope you all are well, because I surely am not. I went to bed with a sore throat last night and I woke up with it feeling like it was on fire. I also have a bit of a fever. So today has been a day for relaxing and hanging around. I've got homework I need to work on after this, but so far, my day has consisted of...

giving nasty looks at the newly fallen snow... SERIOUSLY, the last of the snow had just melted! Give us a break, New England...

cuddling with my kitties...

lazing on the couch while watching Jersey Shore... it's my ultimate guilty pleasure!

eaten my trusty chicken noodle soup...

and got my hair did! I didn't get much done to it, just a trim. I'm desperately trying to grow out my hair.

Your Hair Never Falls In Quite the Same Way

Hey dolls! The weekend is over, and it's Monday again... Where did the time go?!

Currently...

...Wearing: sweatshirt - F21; scarf- ASOS; jeans - American Eagle; scrabble ring - Giftgirls; turquoise rings - thrifted.

...Listening to: Suddenly I see by KT Tunstall

...Needing to: Drop my new thrifted purchases off at the dry cleaners! Can't wait to wear it all! And post it, of course.

...Loving: David Archuleta and Charice Pempengco's version of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. One of the best remakes I've ever heard of this song. I absolutely love the way both of their voices flow together. Every time it comes on the radio I get so excited and sing along as loud as possible. Also loving the way my hair came out today! Yay for good hair days!

Surprise appearance by my fat kitty, Spooky!

Come and Rest Your Bones with Me

Testing out my middle part! I woke up with my hair looking like this and I don't want to fuss with it for fear of it crumbling. Or something like that.

Currently...

...Wearing: top: Forever 21, dress: Velvet, tights: Betsey Johnson, shoes: Asos

...Listening to: Secret by Maroon 5

...Drinking: cafe mocha, mmm!

...Craving: a blueberry muffin, a small shopping trip to Marshall's or TJ Maxx.

...Hating: my computer that is driving me up a freaking wall! Can't wait for my Macbook!

...Loving: my newly achieved 100+ followers! Welcome new ones, and thank you old ones for supporting my blog and always leaving the sweetest comments!

PS: Make sure you all check out my first ever guest post for Calico! So exciting! Comment on the post with your thoughts on my choices and I will absolutely love you forever!

Messy Messy Look

Have you been to Laura's blog? You should go to Laura's blog! I recently saw that she put up a post about doing a Messy Look from a tutorial she found and she looked fabulous! So of course I decided to give it a go because it looked so pretty and natural. Thea's youtube video was very helpful and she really went step by step on how to achieve the look. Or at least, prepare for it, in the first video. (By the way, you totally need to subscribe to her channel because that girl knows hair!) The second video is where you actually take your hair out of it's messiness and make it look totally bomb, at least for her anyways! She does a really good job of telling you what to do next for a very simple hairstyle that took me less than 10 minutes.

Now before you get too excited for pictures, please note that I'm the idiot who has no hairspray. So that was my first misstep. I also don't have a diffuser for my hair dryer. I think it came with one but it kept popping off and refused to stay attached. So without those products on hand, I knew my hair style wouldn't look nearly as good as Thea's from her video tutorial. But she really did do a fantastic job on her tutorial and I think everyone who's interested should definitely give it a shot because what have you got to lose? If you completely hate it, put it in a messy bun for the day and forget about it. But if you love it, you have a new, easy hair style to work!

I just woke up before taking these pictures, so I look super tired and groggy. I haven't had my morning coffee yet!

Waking up, having done nothing to my hair but sleep on it

Hot, right?

I took all of the braids and buns out and, of course, I already hated it.

After messing with it for a bit and making it calm down somewhat, I actually decided that it isn't so bad.
