Top Eight

While creeping my blogger dashboard, I came across one of the nicest tag posts I've seen in a while, done by Lilly from Lilly's Style. So I took the liberty to inform ya'll of some of my favorite products and take some pretty pictures.

1. Most worn hair product:
I like to leave my hair as au-natural as possible. It's thin and gets greasy easily. I stick to products that claim to cure my poor split ends and moisturize. I love the ease of using my Dove leave-in conditioning spray. And it smells yummy! Other than that, I'm obsessed with dry shampoo. Tresemme Fresh Start is my favorite.

2. Most worn lip product:
Burt's Bees lip balm! I apply it a bajillion times a day and I don't know what kind of condition my lips would be in without it.My second most used lip product is the Lip Scrub sugar scrub in peppermint. Mmm!

3. Most worn earrings:
I love my studs. Every time I try to branch out and buy earrings that dangle and are statement pieces, I come home with studs - multiple studs.

4. Most worn shirt:
I'd have to say that my basic dark gray sweater shirt is the most worn thing in my entire closet. I love easy pieces that match with anything. I like that there's always an option to dress it up with bright accessories.

5. Most worn nailpolish:
Oh, wow. This is a tough one! Nail polishes are my new obsession and I'm always changing it up based on whatever mood I'm in at the time. I'd have to say that my favorites are Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Plum Luck and Lavender Cloud, Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in Sonic Bloom, and Love and Beauty in Dusty Blue.

6. Most worn shoe:
I'm in love with my basic gray sneakers. I call them my knockoff Keds. I bought them at Rue 21 on sale for about $10 and I wear them with everything. They're definitely my go to shoe -- a great way to play down my outfits -- even though they basically scream that I'm going for comfort over fashion. Oops?

7. Most worn perfume:
Coach Poppy! It's the most recent perfume I gave myself as a gift. It smells like spring. That's the best way I can describe it.

8. Most worn bag:
I got a basic black bag from H&M and I've loved it to death. Well, it hasn't died yet, so yay! I use it for my purse and it's extra big, so I ocassionally find things to shove in it that I might need "in case of an emergency," such as rollerball perfumes and lotions and combs... It's a bit ridiculous. But it's also big enough to carry notebooks and my laptop from class to class during school. It's a winner.

Hi darlings! I caved into my boredom and did a video tag. This is me... yapping on and on. Click the picture to head on over to the video. Enjoy!
Oh, and pardon my mum's interruption towards the end.

No Telling Where It'll Take You, Just Live Your Life

I found this cute little tag on Laura's blog and, being that I can never resist things such as these, I decided to do it! I went sort of picture crazy, so bear with me...

1. What's your dream job?
Something definitely in the fashion industry! Working for a magazine company is one of my many hopes in life. Whether it's journalism, graphic design, public relations... Even interning to get damn coffee for the higher-ups would be absolutely wonderful! I'd like it to be in a nice city - Boston, NYC, Providence... We'll see!

2. What is your favorite fragrance for winter?
I really like Miss Dior Cherie, since there's a bit more of a musky scent to it.

3. How do you take your tea/coffee?
I take my tea with a bit of milk and two sugars. Same with my coffee! Unless I'm mixing it up and making myself a cafe mocha, I just mix the coffee with a packet of hot cocoa.

4. What is your most important beauty secret?
Treat your skin/hair/body nicely and it will do the same to you. Also, drink lots of water to keep your entire body moisturized.

5. If you had an all expenses paid vacation anywhere, where would you go?
Oh, gosh! I would jump from place to place... London, Paris, Germany, Ireland, Italy... I want to travel the world one day.

6. If a genie popped in your lap right now and offered you three wishes, what would they be?
Wish one would be for a brand new Macbook with everything on it that I need! Wish two would be for snow on Christmas. And wish three would be, if at all possible, to instill some motivation into myself.

7. If you could only have breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert foods for the rest of your life, which one would you pick?
Lobster lobster lobster! I suppose that would be dinner. French toast with the works for breakfast - hashbrowns, eggs, bacon... Oh gosh. And lunch, probably something simple like a salad to start with and a chicken salad sandwich.

8. If you had to pick a famous person for your other half to meet, who would you choose for them?
Milan Lucic from the Boston Bruins, #17. I swear he'd marry him if he could.

9. What is your biggest makeup pet peeve?
Personally, my unsteady hand really pisses me off. When I'm applying mascara to my lashes and it gets everywhere.. that's upsetting. As for other people, I don't really have anything against people who do their makeup differently than the "norm." Whatever floats your boat!

10. If you could only wear one piece of jewelry for the rest of your life, what would it be?
My boyfriend gave me a lovely key (to my heart!) necklace for my birthday this past July and I've worn it ever since. I don't take it off for anything. So that's one. I assume that if and when I get married, I won't be taking off my rings for anything.

11. What one talent do you wish you had?
I wish I could cook. I know it's a talent you have to obtain through practice, but in all honesty, thinking about cooking just sounds to me like work, not playtime. I wish I loved cooking, and had the patience to learn. I don't like relying on people for things, and once I've moved out of my house and get an apartment, I'd like to know how to feed myself! I'm sure cereal and grilled cheese will get old, fast.

12. The product you will continue to purchase?
Two words - dry shampoo! I will forever hault all showering just so I can use dry shampoo. It's so easy! It makes your hair look fresh and healthy when you don't have the time (or effort) to wash. Best thing since sliced bread, I'm telling you.
13. If you could look into the future, would you?  What would you want to know?
No way, Jose! I like sponteneity and seeing that would just be totally weird for me.

14. Who is your biggest celebrity crush?  (Include pictures)
George Clooney definitely gets my heart pitter-pattering... Mark Wahlberg is also pretty delish.

15. What made you start a blog?
I started looking at blogs quite a while ago, and I was just in awe of what these girls did! And I've always been interested in design, so I'd judge their blogs and think, hey, I could totally do this, and way better! Yes, I can be vain sometimes. So that's when it started!

taggy tag

i'm stealing a fashion question/answers tag from laura at big city dreams because i am quite terribly bored with myself right now!

1. What is your favorite accessory?
definitely an awesome purse. it can make or break the outfit. i have quite the obsession with purses and i can never get enough! whether it's a colorful purse to brighten up a simple outfit or just a classy, amazing purse for everyday. yum yum yum!

2. Who's your fashion role model? (In real life & Youtube/blogging)
i just posted for my 30 day challenge that i love kim kardashian's style, so she definitely makes the list. another fashion role model of mine would have to be heidi klum. she's not afraid to take risks and always looks flawless, no matter what is draping her skin. as for blogging, mostly everybody i follow has great style so i can't pick just one!

3. What do you always carry with you?
burts bees chapstick, my iphone, a bottle of water, and usually a snack. those are my must-haves for going anywhere out of the house!

4. What would you describe your style as?
my style has definitely changed in the past couple of years. i'm finally ignoring trends and wearing what suits me the best. i normally go for the comfortably chic kind of clothing, but i do love dressing up when the mood strikes. i don't have one particular style, i tend to jut out into different categories all the time.

5. Favorite: jeans, sunglasses, heels?
favorite jeans - anything that fits! i don't discriminate against brands. as long as it fits, i love em! sunglasses, i usually always go for aviators because they fit my face frame the best. platform heels are my LOVERS. i can't buy enough pairs! it definitely puts a big dent in my wallet.

6. What inspired you to blog about fashion?
i'm not really sure. i started out just blogging about random shit, and i started following awesome bloggers that posted mainly about fashion and i loved it! i decided to take a whack at it, and here i am.

7. What is your favorite fashion store/shop?
express, forever21, h&m, american eagle [for basics], marshall's and tjmaxx because they have such amazing deals on clothes! i always find myself shopping at these stores before i even have a chance to question the whole money thing haha.

8. What is your favorite fabric in clothing?
cotton for sure!

9. Who is your favorite designer?
oh gosh... i can't even begin to list everyone! louis vuitton, alexander wang, betsey johnson, marc jacobs, chanel, michael kors, versace... the list goes on and on.

10. Who/what inspires your style?
people watching. it really helps me to see what works, what doesn't, all that good stuff. plus, when you see crazy ass people, it just makes my day.

11. What would you choose to do - buy something in high quality or make it yourself if you could?
i would love to have the skill to make clothing for myself! everything would always fit perfectly! but then again, i don't always have the creativity of famous fashion designers so their stuff definitely catches my eyes.

i don't know who to tag because there's so many bloggers whose answers i'd like to see, so basically if you want to do it, take it!
