Dear Stranger
A lovely little note I came across on my walk to class a few weeks back. It's comforting to know that there are still some genuinely nice people out there.

Hope you all had a lovely Easter!

Winter Freakin' Wonderland
I hope all of you darlings had a wonderful Christmastime! I hope you stuffed your bellies to the brim and recieved some awesome gifts from Santa. I sure did! I'll post my gifts later, because right now I am full of Monkey Bread (mum makes it every year for Christmas!) and a bit tired of all things Christmas. I usually am more cheerful around the holidays, but right now I am thankful that it's over! Too many places to go, too many things to wrap, too much to do! So I've taken it upon myself today to just veg out in sweatpants and relax. Perhaps play a bit of Little Big Planet!
I know, I said I'm glad Christmas is over, but I'd still like to know...
...tell me what your favorite gift was this year!
PS here are some pictures of the last snowfall, as we're currently getting hit with a Noreaster and there is no way I'm going outside to take photos in this mess!

Tis the Season...
...For festive holiday pictures! Now, I'm not here to complain about how I've eaten one too many cake balls, or that the desserts that keep popping up are just undeniably delicious. And I'm also not here to complain about the fact that, with six days left until Christmas, Massachusetts has yet to see any snow fall!
But I am most importantly NOT complaining about meeting the newest addition to my family - my baby cousin Mia! She is so adorable and I can't believe it's taken three months for me to meet the little darling. She is so well-tempered and makes the cutest little noises when she's not sucking on two of her fingers. I wish I got a picture of that! But below you will see one of the many gifts we got for her very first Christmas. Totally what I'd dress my baby with if I had one!

Cake balls - my mum and my first attempt at making the scruptious little things. She found the recipe on The Blackberry Vine. How cute is my mum for looking at blogs?! I should have pictured these cut in half as well, because the red velvet inside had me drooling.
I love that this picture came out the way it did. I didn't mean for it to be bokeh-esque, but I love it! This is our Christmas tree, if you couldn't tell.
HOW PRECIOUS?!
Anyway, I'm sure I'll be popping up on Blogger quite a bit over the next few days because I'm not working from now until Wednesday afternoon! So that will be quite the nice little break before the holiday craziness.

Inspiration in the Shadows
Shadow inspired photo shoot features UK's contestants of America's Next Top Model.
I miss watching this show! The US version, of course, being that I'm from there... (here?) ANYWAYS, case in point, I must get back to watching this show!

Week in Photos
Can I just say - IT'S ALREADY THURSDAY?!

1. I've always been tempted to put a sign like this up in our store window. You can clearly see that the lights have gone down and the place has emptied out. Yet people STILL feel the need to peek inside and shake the door to try to get it unlocked, even though we close at the same time. Every. Day. Really?
2. I finally decided to take a few shots of the pretty foliage on my street. I've seen prettier throughout my town but that would require getting off my lazy bum and actually walking/driving there... It may happen. Eventually.
3. Probably the last of the flowers we'll be seeing for quite a while.
4. Yum! A toasted cheese and turkey sandwich courtesy of my brilliance and, of course, the toaster oven.
5. Thinking about to whom I should give this as a gift... Perhaps it'll be my 100 follower giveaway? (Which will be soon hopefully! Thank you thank you thank you!!)
Have yourselves a good night my lovelies, and happy almost weekend!

Order Up: Forever21
My Forever21 purchase finally arrived! Of course, it was when I was at work, but luckily my brother was home to sign the package and take it in for me! Yay!
First purse:
I la-la-la-LOVE this purse! It's petite and small, yet still big enough to fit my wallet, phone, chapstick, and other necessary items. It's casual with a bit of flair and I absolutely love it!
Second purse:
hand-to-bag ratio
It's a lot bigger than I first expected. I imagined (and wish) it would be about half the size, but I guess I can make do. It's also a little flimsy, I thought it'd be more structured, though I do love the softness of the fabric!
Third and final purse:
This first picture makes the bag look very flat, for it is right now because it was flattened in the mail. In the next couple of pictures I stuffed it with two of my sweatshirts so it looks full and definitely a lot better!
I really like that this bag is a bit more structured than other bags I own. I adore the quilted fabric and the chain. I do wish the handles were a bit longer but I still like it. I think it will be great for a casual kind of day and is the perfect size for everything that I need!

Coffee, Kitties, and Crafts
Let's see what my to do list was and still is for today...
1. Laundry, laundry, laundry!
2. Cash check for mom.
3. Pick up my printed pictures from the drugstore.
4. Hit the crafts store to buy picture frames and paint supplies.
5. Clean the living room of my belongings.
6. Put fresh sheets on my bed.
7. Clean up my room and my spare room.
And here is my day in photos.
My baby boys!
A mug that one of my best friends painted for me for my birthday! I love it because it's huge and pretty.
Keurig coffee machine... I would die without this!
Craft wooden frames
I was so excited to be painting again!
I painted one of the frame chocolate brown. I also bought a puzzle and painted some of the pieces white and glued them around the frame... Because the frame is for my boy and he is the puzzle piece that completes me!
Kitty was being nosy as I painted.

Paris Fashion Week: Chanel
So many lovely, young starlets were in attendance for Chanel's fashion show as a part of Paris Fashion Week! Of course, I wish I could be there for all of the excitement but... yeah, right! They all look so chic and wonderfully put together.Christ, I want all of their clothes in my closet.
Here were some of the attendees and their amazing fashions:
Rachel Bilson wearing pastels, a bright red Chanel bag, and a beaming smile.
Kiera Knightly looking fierce and fabulous, as always.
Lily Allen looking a big frumpy for a fashion show, but still chic.
Leigh Lezark looking great while mixing up the white and off white textured pieces.
Vanessa Paradis rocking the middle part while looking adorable with a black and white ensemble.
Clemence Poesy looking effortlessly chic in a simple skirt and blouse.
